Argumentative Proposal Blog
My argument is that Stem Cell research should recieve more funding and be able to use embryonic stem cells, so that many people living today and in the future can benefit from it. I understand how some people can feel that it is morally wrong, but under certain circumstances it should be allowed. If the scientists have the permission of the embryo donors, I feel it should be ok to use them. I am not saying that stem cell lines should be stolen, bought, or used for untherapeutic purposes. One day stem cell research will open new avenues to finding cures and treatments for helping people with many diseases or disorders. There are more and more people in this world who are becoming ill due to these diseases and i feel it is only right that we contribute to trying to make them better. In other countries people with diseases such as diabetes have been cured. In the US there are so many laws and regulations that hold back on trying to cure or treat people. Some people speculate that the US doesnt want to cure or treat people of their illnessess because, the medical business is a multibillion dollar industry. Maybe doctors feel that if they hand out cures their jobs would become less and less, because people wouldnt need to go to them as often. My mother suffers from diabetes, my grandfather couldnt enjoy his last years because he had alzheimers, and my grandmother died from heart disease. Those are reasons why I feel stem cell research should continue on...maybe your mother, grandfather, or grandmother will one day be able to enjoy life without pain or suffering, but then again in the future this could also be you. Wouldnt you want to enjoy your life? Wouldnt you want a cure for your illness if it was available? I would.

Reflection Blog on Informative Essay
My informative essay was on Stem Cell research. I thought the project was very creative but some of the components were a bit difficult to include. The information in my project wasnt that hard to get but, at times it was a bit hard on knowing what information to include. Through it all I just stuck to the points that I wanted to point out in my essay and the information became easier to write about. The podcast and powerpoint were a bit difficult to post correctly on to my web page. In my essay I tried to describe what the main debate was discussing, and give an explaination of what the stem cell research was about. I also decribed what the president had to say on the subject.
